State of the Art Omniplex Cinema opening 2019

Skycourt Shopping Centre are delighted to announce Ireland’s largest multiplex cinema chain, Omniplex Cinemas, will open in early 2019.

The 5-Screen Cinema, with a seating capacity of 44 – 153 people, will be located on the first-floor level of the shopping centre in the former Food Court. This is the perfect location for a cinema, situated in the heart of the centre and adjacent to a multi-storey car park of 400 spaces.

Skycourt Shopping Centre has a catchment of 40,000 within a 15-minute drive. Market research has shown a leisure facility, such as a cinema, is a much-needed element for the local community and Skycourt are delighted to be able to fulfil this need for the community of Shannon.

On the back of this announcement for the centre, planning permission has recently been lodged for 2 restaurants on the ground floor.

There have been some exciting new additions to the centre, including Iceland opening December 2017 and Dealz expanding their offering to include clothing range Pep & Co in 2018. The announcement of Omniplex Cinemas opening will add an exciting new element to the shopping centre.
